Must Have
Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams, background in low-voltage power distribution or switchboard design, Experience with UL 891 and/or UL 1558 standards, Ability to review and guide complex electrical system designs, Experience supporting quoting, BOM development, and technical proposals, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
What You'll Do.
oversee the development and execution of low-voltage electrical distribution equipment projects
Lead and mentor a team of electrical and mechanical engineers focused on switchboard design
Review and approve engineering drawings
and technical documentation
Oversee the design of low-voltage switchboards (UL 891 and UL 1558 where applicable)
Ensure alignment with customer requirements
and system performance needs
Guide system configurations including breakers
and protection schemes
Support product standardization and scalable design practices
Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are efficient and production-ready
Work with sales and estimating teams to support quoting
and technical alignment
Engage directly with customers for design reviews
technical discussions
Coordinate with supply chain on component selection and vendor alignment
Support commercial efforts to ensure accurate and constructible equipment proposals
Ensure designs meet applicable standards such as UL and NEC
along with data center requirements
Support factory witness testing
and commissioning activities
Maintain documentation related to certifications
and design validation
Manage engineering schedules to meet fast-paced project timelines
Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the design process

## Description Manager of Electrical Engineering – Power Distribution Equipment Location: Marietta, OH Job Type: Direct Hire Salary: Starting at $160,000+ depending on experience Position Summary A growing power systems manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee the development and execution of low-voltage electrical distribution equipment projects. This role combines technical leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination to support the successful delivery of complex switchboard and power distribution systems used in mission-critical environments.
