Full Job Description
Plata Card is hiring an Engineering Manager for our PyMe Product Origination team, focused on driving delivery, team growth, and execution quality. The team owns the end-to-end lifecycle of credit product launches for legal entities — from the first product available to a verified business customer, through to the tools they use to manage their team and accounts. The scope spans both revenue-generating products and internal business banking features. This is a hands-on role. You'll split your time between leading people (coaching, planning, stakeholder communication) and staying close to the technical work — contributing to architecture decisions, code reviews, and implementation when it matters. If you want to shape how Plata brings credit and banking products to market — leading a team at the heart of B2B product origination — this role is for you. Challenges that await you: Drive product launches: lead end-to-end delivery of credit line, acquiring, and internal product features Develop your people: provide regular feedback, unblock growth paths, and mentor engineers Strengthen processes: build and refine planning, decomposition, and delivery rituals that keep a mixed-discipline team moving fast without burning out Foster team health: maintain a sustainable, non-burnout culture through clear prioritization, transparent communication, and consistent support Own technical quality: shape the architecture of backend services in Go, validate technical solutions, and stay close enough to the codebase to make informed decisions What makes you a great fit: 1+ year managing engineering teams in fast-paced environments Proven skills in hiring, performance management, delivery ownership, and cross-functional collaboration 4+ years of Go development experience — enough to participate in architectural discussions and validate the team's technical decisions Experience building and improving development processes — planning, decomposition, retrospectives, and quality gates Navig
