What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in design and integration of complex systems required, at least 2 years’ experience in nuclear or other highly regulated industry, Experience designing complex systems and providing systems integration engineering support to their construction, commissioning, modification, and/or decommissioning is required, Experience in technical leadership is required, Licensed by a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada is required, Technical awareness of all relevant engineering disciplines is required, Proven technical risk and project management skills, Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems from a blank canvas through to completion, Basic understanding of the licensing framework and required submissions within the Canadian nuclear industry is required, Knowledge of, and experience working within established nuclear industry quality assurance requirements, procedures, and practices is required, Demonstrated people leadership skills, Effective organizational skills, Excellent interpersonal skills, Must be able to travel to client sites as required
Nice to Have
Knowledge of nuclear facility modification (i. e. , controlled engineering change) process is an asset, A licensed Professional Engineer from a Canadian provincial Professional Engineering organization (e. g. , PEO) is preferred, Deeper experience in one or more relevant engineering domains or specialist areas (e. g. , mechanical, structural, instrumentation and control, electrical) is an asset, Membership and participation in a recognized systems engineering professional body, such as INCOSE, is an asset, Desire and demonstrated ability to innovate and improve engineering activities and deliverables using emerging technologies is an asset, Awareness of or experience applying regulatory requirements in other countries is an asset

How You'll Work.

Work with the Director and other senior leads; Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Work in a multidisciplinary team environment; Work effectively with external customer and regulator stakeholders

Process & Methodology
Technical risk and project management skills, Effective planning and tracking of engineering development activities, Time management, Setting priorities, Manage technical activities effectively under tight schedules and budget
