Full Job Description
## Description About Jamloop Jamloop is building high-scale advertising technology that processes massive volumes of real-time traffic. Our backend systems support high-throughput, low-latency bidding infrastructure for a demand-side platform, where reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence are critical. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our cloudops infrastructure and operations team, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, production systems, and high-volume bidder software. About the Role As Engineering Manager for Backend Infrastructure & Operations, you will manage a scrum team of 4 to 6 software and DevOps engineers responsible for building, operating, and improving Jamloop’s high-volume, low-latency bidder systems. This is a hands-on management role for someone who has grown from a strong cloud operations, backend, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering background and is ready to lead a team while staying close to technical execution. The ideal candidate has experience operating production cloud systems at scale, understands how to balance reliability and cost, and can help engineers prioritize work across infrastructure, performance, incident response, and feature delivery. You will oversee cloud infrastructure that processes over 1 billion HTTP requests per hour and represents millions of dollars in annual cloud spend. A major part of this role will be identifying opportunities to improve performance, increase reliability, and reduce infrastructure costs without compromising system quality or delivery speed. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a strong cloud operations or backend infrastructure engineer who has started leading teams and is ready to grow further as an engineering manager. They do not need to be a senior manager, but they should be comfortable managing a small team, owning delivery, handling production operational needs, and making thoughtful technical decisions in a high-scale environment.
