What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8/10 years of experience in software engineering, with experience in complex systems in production, Experience acting as Staff / Principal Engineer or equivalent, Ability to define technical direction and make decisions with impact across multiple teams, Strong ability to abstract and model business problems into technological solutions, Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and scalable architectures (microservices / event-driven), Solid experience in languages like Go, Java or Kotlin (or other modern backend languages) and ability to transition between different stacks as needed by the business, Experience with cloud (AWS or equivalent) and production operation, Ability to influence, align, and elevate the technical level of other teams, Judgment to evaluate technical trade-offs (cost, performance, scalability, time-to-market), Autonomy to identify structural problems and propose solutions before they escalate
Nice to Have
Experience in the Brazilian market (regulation, local integrations), Experience building platforms from scratch or scale-ups, Knowledge of DDD, TDD, event sourcing, Experience with complex integrations and ecosystems with multiple partners, Experience in fintech, payments or credit
