Responsible for designing, developing, and commercializing new products to support company Mission, growth initiatives and profitability commitments. Manage current product lines through cost-out initiatives, quality improvement programs and ensure ongoing compliance with UL and NEC. **Key Duties & Responsibilities:** Commercialize New Products * Work with Sales and Marketing to identify common problems that form new product opportunities. Create suitable new product designs. Validate new product concepts via end-user feedback. Drive products through MGPD process to launch. * Collaborate with suppliers to launch products and follow up with next-generation improvements. * Evaluate industry requirements and trends, and customer needs. Update products to comply with changing UL, CSA, and NEC standards. * Create and maintain effective and complete specifications and documentation for new and existing products consisting of: Engineering drawings, Material specifications, Quality Inspection Plans, Work Instructions, Engineering Change Notices, Purchase Part Approval Forms, etc. * Resource development – Recruit proficient and dedicated employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee their development. Broaden Product Authority * Develop and maintain technical knowledge of the industry, including changes in code requirements and contractor preferences within electrical hardware, tools, and new categories. * Support Sales & Marketing.
