Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, 10 years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, Experience managing and leading teams directly, Proven record of developing Engineers, Experience in Project Management with a demonstrated record of success
Nice to Have
Mechanical Engineering preferred, Experience working in a continuous web manufacturing environment, Experience and application of standard Manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures, Demonstrated expertise in a multi-discipline engineering role, Advanced degree and/or professional registration
What You'll Do.
Lead the project engineering team
Provide project engineering services
Coordinate development between Production
Research and Development
and Quality Assurance
Coordinate development
and approval of annual and five-year capital plan(s)
and maintain the strategic roadmap for the site
Ensure successful completion of the Site Capital Project Plan meeting objectives on-time and on-budget
Serve as the primary point of contact for rapid response engineering efforts
Maintain and update accurate site capital spending forecasts
Ensure site monthly fixed asset additions/retirements are completed
Complete annual fixed asset auditing
Review Authority For Capital Expenditure (AFCE) requests
Review new equipment designs and recommend modifications
Develop and present business cases to Senior Leadership for large capital projects
Support Senior Director with large capital project preliminary review submissions
Support new product development and manufacturing with equipment/material development
Set the standard for documentation control (AutoCAD drawings file standards
MOC’s for equipment installs & modifications
Serve as the site technical expert for equipment and process-related issues
Support and participate in plant problem-solving in mechanical
Provide technical engineering support for the Plant
Proactively evaluate value-added benefits of continuous improvement opportunities through capital project execution
Maintain thorough engineering standards for project design and execution
Evaluate and design new equipment systems
and recommend modifications for continuous improvement
Provide support for corporate-level initiatives throughout the project life cycle
Set the department standard for Capex cost tracking
Manage Capex project within 10%
Ensure that complete plant drawings exist and P&IDs are kept up-to-date
and evaluate all site project engineers
Identify development opportunities for direct reports
Ensure training of individuals in technical engineering skills
GAF project management methodology
Manage the plant project Engineering Co-op Program
Drive engagement between the Project Engineering team and the Front Line Operations team
Serve as Primary liaison between the Site and the Corporate Project Engineering team

This individual will lead the project engineering team and will be responsible for providing project engineering services to the organization by coordinating development between Production, Maintenance, Technical Services, Supply Chain, Research and Development, and Quality Assurance. **Essential Duties** * Coordinate development, submission, and approval of annual and five-year capital plan(s). Coordinate, update, and maintain the strategic roadmap for the site. * Ensure successful completion of the Site Capital Project Plan meeting the objectives of the projects, on-time and on-budget as planned.
