Must Have
4+ years managing engineering teams, track record of shipping production AI or LLM-powered features, product instincts, worked closely with PMs, designers, and users, make calls about what to build based on outcomes, not output, Comfortable operating across technical and non-technical, hold your own with engineers on architecture trade-offs, hold your own with Finance or Ops leaders on workflow change, Fluent in the current AI landscape, LLMs, agents, evals, prompting, trade-offs between frameworks, bias toward adoption and measurable impact, patience to drive change in an organization
Nice to Have
built or led an internal platform team whose primary customers were non-engineers, driven org-wide adoption of a new technology, scaled LLM usage inside a company, opinions about cost, governance, evals, and paved roads, teach, write, or speak publicly about engineering, AI, or platform work
