Eligibility Requirements

U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (i. e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum, Blue’s Standard Background Check, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation, Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10, 001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training., Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 10 + years of experience in quality systems, manufacturing quality, or internal auditing in a regulated environment, 10 + years of experience working with AS9100 and/or ISO9001 (auditing, compliance, or implementation) in a manufacturing environment, Working knowledge of corrective action methods (e. g. , 5-Why, fishbone) and ability to help teams drive issues to closure, written and verbal communication able to document clearly and communicate professionally with peers and stakeholders, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks on a schedule

Nice to Have

Certified as AS9100D / ISO9001 / Lead Auditor, Experience with external audit, supporting USG Compliance, Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred, American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification, Quality experience in either development or production environment, Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification

What You'll Do.

Plan and execute scheduled internal audits by evaluating design

and launch processes for compliance with quality management system (QMS) requirements and internal procedures

Thoroughly document and communicate audit results to stakeholders

Recommend and coordinate appropriate and timely corrective action to close audit findings

Evaluate corrective action implementation for effectiveness

Develop a teaching environment and culture around the QMS including awareness

continuous improvement

and procedure compliance

Provide guidance to Blue Origin employees on the QMS

Communicate confidently and effectively with all levels of management

peers and key stakeholders

including timely escalation of quality issues

Support Third-Party and Customer audits

Assure Blue Origin documentation system and the QMS are aligned

Identify and implement QMS process and system improvements
