What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geological Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC), Digital literacy in mining related software, Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
Nice to Have
Previous experience in open pit, truck and shovel operations

About the role: Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor – Short Range, the Mining Engineer is responsible for working as part of a team in support of developing and optimizing 2-week planning. This role involves all aspects of short-range planning including the following: Drill and blast planning Shovel scheduling Coal release planning Waste dump planning Pit Dewatering Lining up survey controls Checking as-built surveys to designs and documenting Grow with us.
