You’ll get to: * Successfully carry out the design process to achieve all quality, performance, schedule and cost objectives in a cross-functional environment. * Perform hands-on concept development, prototyping, product testing, data collection and definition of product specifications. * Independently carry out advanced stack-ups and system analysis to ensure product assembly and functionality remain consistent throughout its lifetime. * Investigate design issues & test failures, and effectively identify, recommend and implement corrective actions to components. * Partner with cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Reliability, Field Research) to identify and clearly define customer requirements, and translate those requirements into appropriate product specifications and develop test systems to ensure we meet or exceed customer expectations * Meet with suppliers, project stakeholders to review designs and alter as needed. Drive the component and assembly design review * Work in a core team of 3-4 engineers/designers to develop a product from start to finish * Support prototype builds for engineering and manufacturing teams and initial production lots to ensure
