Must Have

Bachelor's Degree Engineering program that is accredited through the Engineering Accreditation Commission, 5 years of related experience, Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e. g. , e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management), Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment

Nice to Have

Project management experience, ability to deal with subcontractors and cross-functional, expertise in a particular area of the discipline

What You'll Do.

lead critical projects that keep our power plants operating safely

validating engineering designs

driving multiple projects forward at once

tackle complex challenges

investigate operational issues

ensure the right solutions and partners are in place

act as both a project manager and technical resource

balancing oversight with hands‑on engineering input

coordinating contractors

supporting maintenance-driven problem solving

and long-term value to our generation assets

Makes safety suggestions to assist in maintaining a safe work environment using tools and standards

Analyzes problems and recommend possible solutions for moderately complex problems

Provides guidance to less experienced personnel in making decisions on less complex problems

Provides cost-effective solutions to a specific problem

Develops and implements the appropriate workable solution to problems based on given budgetary and schedule constraints while appropriately applying policy and code requirements

Makes medium risk decisions that involve direct application of technical knowledge

Explains technical problems to internal stakeholders

Supports Generation facility outages

Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities
