Must Have
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering, three (3) years of progressively responsible or an equivalent combination of education and experience, registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors
Nice to Have
Experience managing a project team to deliver transportation projects and tracking/maintaining project schedules, Knowledge of professional engineering principles and practices of civil engineering as related to Highway Design with an emphasis on project planning, project design, and construction and maintenance methods, as they apply to the Project Delivery Process, Knowledge of Professional Engineering contracts and understanding scoping, estimating, and negotiating, Experience setting priorities, developing work schedules, monitoring goal progress, and tracking details/data/information/activities, Experience expressing moderately complex engineering concepts and related facts in a clear and organized manner to internal and external customers
