Full Job Description

**A DAY IN THE LIFE** As an **Engineer II – Civil & Structures**, you will play a key role in supporting the design and execution of utility-scale energy projects by ensuring civil and structural systems are engineered to meet project requirements, schedules, and quality standards. A typical day involves coordinating with external engineering firms, reviewing and issuing plans and specifications, performing engineering calculations, and providing technical guidance to support project development and execution. You'll work closely with project teams to identify and resolve design challenges, advocate for project needs, and help ensure designs are practical, constructible, and aligned with company objectives. In addition to technical responsibilities, you'll mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of engineering best practices while supporting the successful delivery of complex renewable energy and infrastructure projects. **STEP INTO THE ROLE** * _Safety_ : Responsible for establishing safe engineering designs that compliment company, state, and federal safety regulations. * _Quality_ : Perpetuates designs that satisfy the design life of the power plant by establishing compliance with local, state, and international building codes and company best practices. Engineer II must have a working knowledge of customary building and structural codes. * _Cost-Effective_ : Responsible for managing designs that provide the most economical means to satisfy the design life of the power plant. Engineer II will collaborate across company departments, with outside vendors, suppliers, and technical firms to explore innovative ideas, methods, materials, equipment, software, and technologies that save cost, increase efficiency, promote safety, and provide strategic benefits. * _Conduct, Leadership & Followership_: Must be a team-oriented professional that adheres to the company’s cultural basics and the National Society of Professional Engineer’s code of conduct.
