What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, 1 year of relevant field service engineering experience, Hands-on experience in manufacturing, final assembly, or testing of semiconductor capital equipment, Familiarity with structured problem-solving techniques such as Fish Bone Diagram, Kepner Tregoe, or 8D analysis

Nice to Have

Experience working in a wafer fab environment, Knowledge of closed-loop gas and vacuum control, electro-pneumatic systems or robotics systems, Basic understanding of software systems and SAP applications, Awareness of safety protocols related to toxic or flammable gases and acids

Job's mission As an Engineer in the Field Service team, you’ll be the face of ASM at customer sites, ensuring our advanced semiconductor equipment performs at its best. Your work directly supports our customers’ success and strengthens ASM’s reputation for excellence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is passionate about solving complex technical challenges. What you will be working on Install, maintain, and repair ASM semiconductor equipment at customer sites. Liaise with customers to qualify equipment and ensure satisfaction during installation. Develop and execute action plans to resolve technical issues and communicate solutions clearly. Identify and implement improvements to hardware, software, and service processes. Prepare detailed service reports for both internal and external stakeholders. Support special assignments and cross-functional projects as needed. Travel domestically and internationally as required.
