Job Location : Aberdeen, SD Civil engineering is a diverse field, and as a new engineer, it can take time to figure out where your passion lies. (HEI). HEI is a full-service civil engineering, surveying, environmental, and technology solutions consulting firm with multiple locations throughout the Midwest. Our water resources engineers work on a variety of exciting projects including design work for dams, levees, lakes, streams, stormwater management, flood risk reduction, watershed planning, hydraulic structures, and other projects related to Water Resources Engineering. * Effectively use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design various project features and ArcGIS for watershed planning. * Prepare design computations and quantity estimates under the supervision of a licensed engineer. * Assist in preparation of reports, specifications, plan creation, and permit applications. * Interface with CAD and GIS designers and coordinate with other engineering departments on complex multi-discipline projects. * Assist in client contact and communications. * May include onsite construction observation and other field work duties including surveying, stream assessments, and wetland delineations. ## Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering. * 0-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering * Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Superior problem solving and analytical skills. * Solid critical thinking skills, along with attention to detail. * Positive attitude under pressure, strong team player, responsible, and self-motivated. * Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Autocad Civil 3D, ArcGIS, or hydrologic and hydraulic modeling softw
