Your work will support the worldwide shift towards cleaner and more efficient energy systems, aligning with ICF’s mission to “build a resilient and prosperous world for all.” ⸻ ** _Key Responsibilities_** * ** _Research:_** Collate information related to power markets and convert it to actionable knowledge especially for modelling. * **_Build & Simulate Models:_** Create and improvise energy market models especially for SCED and power flow analytics. Analyze and generate market usable insights from the modelling * ** _Collaborate:_** Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and energy experts, to design practical solutions. * **_Translate Insights:_** Convert complex insights into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. ⸻ ** _Qualifications_** * A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy Systems, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research or a related field. * Programming skills in Python, R, Julia or similar languages is a must. * Exposure to PyPSA or similar tools for power systems modelling strongly preferred * Good understanding of optimization framework and exposure to tools such as Pyomo and solvers such as HiGHS, Gurobi etc is highly preferred * Understanding of Power Markets is a strong plus.
