Must Have
Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Virginia, AHA BLS - HCP required, HAZMAT Awareness required within one year of hire date, PHTLS or BTLS Basic required within one year of hire date, Provide a copy of your current driving record, Meet eligibility requirements for driving positions, Maintain continuing education hours to meet re-certification status

Performs a variety of skills related to acute and non-acute settings in ground transport. Responds to medical emergencies in a 911 setting and protects life and administers cardiac and trauma support when needed. Administers initial treatment at emergency scene, assesses patient response and makes adjustments as needed. Gathers and analyzes information and uses reason when dealing with emotional topics. Manages difficult customer situations and maintains confidentiality. #EMSHeroes **_All of our driving positions do require that you provide a copy of your current driving record and meet eligibility requirements._** **EMT-Basic rate starts at $20.10, with credit for experience.** * Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed, or need for additional assistance. * Administers emergency procedures such as extrication of patient, defibrillation, and other non-invasive treatments.
