Eligibility Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record to obtain LU-approved driver certification., Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard., Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally., Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building., Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business, and lift 10 or fewer pounds.

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree required, 3-5 years of experience in a business, business development, sales, or account management related field, 2-3 years of experience in a business, business development, sales, or account management related field, and/or 1-2 years of established experience as an Employer Relations Coordinator with Liberty University Career Services

Nice to Have

Master's Degree preferred, Experience in higher education, Career Services, Talent Acquisition, or University Recruiting a plus

What You'll Do.

Strategically sourcing

and maintaining a network of relationships with employers at local

Serving as the primary recruiter for multiple assigned industries and serving multiple Schools/Colleges at Liberty.

Supporting the Assistant Director of Employer Relations with additional special projects as needed.

Evaluating and determining the most effective and valuable methods to source and connect with students and alumni.

Recruiting employers to join Liberty’s Handshake network.

Posting jobs on Handshake.

Participating in on-campus events such as Career Fairs

and Employer On-Sites.

Approving or declining employers requesting approval to Liberty’s Handshake network as assigned.

Managing relationships with employers and faculty as it pertains to industries and career fairs assigned.

Maintaining relationships with currently engaged employers and their recruiters for industries as assigned.

Developing strategies and methods of recruitment that entice employers to participate in events on-campus.

Contributing to the organization

and delivery of designated industry‑specific career fairs and recruiting activities.

Advising employers on strategies for successful recruiting at Liberty via Handshake and on-campus events.

Working with employers to develop marketing strategies to enhance their brand and presence on-campus.

Recruiting and coordinating employer involvement in Career Fairs

and Employer On-Sites

Targeting and cultivating relationships with new employers in assigned industries to introduce them to Liberty University

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Collaborate with Career Coaches to identify the knowledge, skills, talents, and experience that students bring to the workplace, and to identify employers that will produce valuable and scalable opportunities for students.; Communicate with Career Coaches to inform them about employers and job opportunities in assigned industries.; Communicate with The Fellowship Coordinator about employers and job opportunities in DC.; Build partnerships on-campus and between the university and external communities as appropriate.; Collaborate with ERC I, ERC III and others in the university community when appropriate to maximize visibility and opportunities for relationship-building among employers, students, and the university.; Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ.

Communication Scope

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally (in person and via phone) and in writing to convey clear, concise, and well-articulated information.; Ability to understand, speak, and write English to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.; Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University and Career Services to a variety of university, business, government, and community customers and associates.
