What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline, 3–7 years of accounting experience in a controller, audit, or similar, Proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of an accounting function, including close, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting, Comfortable working with AI tools and technology, Self-driven and comfortable working autonomously with a high degree of responsibility, Proven ability to manage relationships with external parties, including auditors, tax authorities, and local advisors, as well as internal stakeholders across functions and geographies, Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
familiarity with IFRS is an advantage, Experience working in a multi-entity or international environment is an advantage, Norwegian is an advantage
What You'll Do.
Own the end-to-end accounting for Rystad Energy AS — from day-to-day transactions through month-end close and statutory reporting — with scope expanding to Rystad Energy UK and other EMEA entities.
Ensure timely and accurate VAT
and other regulatory reporting and filings
Support group consolidation and reporting in close collaboration with the Head of Group Accounting.
Serve as the primary accounting contact for EMEA entities
building relationships with auditors
and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate external audits and own the year-end documentation.
Develop and maintain internal control frameworks to mitigate risk and improve the accuracy of financial information
Identify and drive improvements to financial processes and systems.
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Support group consolidation and reporting in close collaboration with the Head of Group Accounting.; Serve as the primary accounting contact for EMEA entities, building relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and internal stakeholders.; Proven ability to manage relationships with external parties, including auditors, tax authorities, and local advisors, as well as internal stakeholders across functions and geographies; communicator with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders in an international environment
