These activities include software requirements management, software design, coding, unit test, and verification. The embedded software engineer should be able to work fairly independently, performing tasks under the guidance and direction from more senior team members or leads. This role requires Qt/Linux skills, including development with Qt Creator. Strong C/C++ design and coding skills are required, preferably with experience developing embedded software solutions for medical devices. Development tasks will include feature development, improvements, defect fixing, infrastructure maintenance and support activities. Experience with device security, networking, including IoT, wireless, and/or 802.1X is a plus. This position is hybrid, based out of our Boston office at 125 Summer Street across from South Station. _**Responsibilities/Essential Duties:**_ Responsibility: Responsible for software development aspects of the product (technical debts, features/improvements, design, support.) Design and Code Reviews: Reviews design and code for team which will include both internal and external partnerships. Especially focuses on high value changes based on impact or significant scope. Development: Contributor to design and development of mid-complexity features. Works under the guidance of senior team members and/or leads to deliver development tasks in line with project timelines.
