What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of experience in embedded software development, Proven experience in a technical leadership role within project teams, background working with microcontrollers, real-time systems, low-level programming, Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, Experience with version control systems (e.g. , Git), CI/CD pipelines
Nice to Have
experience in the automotive industry, Experience with AUTOSAR architecture (Classic and/or Adaptive is a plus), Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)

Full Job Description

Position Objective Lead the technical execution of embedded software development projects in the automotive domain, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions. Act as the technical authority within the project, guiding and coordinating a cross-functional team without direct reporting lines, while ensuring alignment with customer requirements, industry standards, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities / Activities * Serve as the technical lead for embedded software development projects, providing direction, mentorship, and guidance to team members at the project level (without direct line management). * Define and maintain the software architecture and technical roadmap for automotive embedded systems. * Break down system requirements into software specifications, design, and implementation tasks. * Lead technical decision-making , including design trade-offs, technology selection, and issue resolution. * Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, systems, validation, quality, and manufacturing). * Ensure compliance with automotive standards and processes (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE, MISRA C). * Oversee the development of embedded software components in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems. * Guide integration activities and support debugging, bring-up, and validation on target hardware. * Conduct and lead code reviews, design reviews, and technical risk assessments. * Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle. * Support project planning by providing technical estimates, effort breakdowns, and feasibility analysis. * Ensure software quality, performance, and maintainability through best practices and continuous improvement. * Act as the main technical interface with customers and s
