What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Understanding of the SOLID-principles and how to apply them in software design, Experience with embedded CPU architectures (ARM microcontrollers, Xilinx Zync), Experience in using Linux and FreeRTOS, Experience with CM tools like SVN and GIT, Experience in OOAD, Experience using Docker, Experience with wired communication protocols, TCP/IP, RSTP and Ethernet, Knowledge of relevant design & modeling methods like e. g. UML, Understanding of core OS concepts like multi-threading, memory management, power management, At least 5 years of experience in C++, Fluent English language skills (verbal and written), Able and willing to work at least 2-3 days per week at the Ovar office, Availability to work in Eindhoven/Netherlands 1-2 weeks per time several times per year
Nice to Have
Experience with peripherals such as UART, SPI, i2c/i2s, GPIO, interfacing with FPGA is a plus, Experience with Yocto and SCons toolchain is a plus, Experience in Python programming language is a plus, Experience in C# programming language is a plus, Experience in Safety critical systems is a plus, Being able to decompose complex task and estimate work, You can look, realistically, outside the box, You have a helicopter view, capable of finding an appropriate solution to complex problems, You have a broad interest in Software Development and are familiar with additional programming languages, You have a proactive and eager mindset to get the job done, helping others

Public Address AUDIO Division is concerned with the development of hardware and software solutions for the PRAESENSA Public Address and Voice Alarm systems. The work includes all stages of product development from a feasibility study to final test and release of the product for mass production. This is done with the use of state of the art development methods, tools and components. As our new Embedded-Application Software Developer you design, implement and test the software according to specifications and architecture.
