What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2+ years of professional email marketing experience, Hands-on experience with at least one major ESP (HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign), understanding of audience segmentation and email automation workflows, Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting, segmentation), Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email template customization, Experience tracking and analyzing email campaign performance metrics
Nice to Have
Experience managing email programs for 50k+ contacts, Familiarity with deliverability and inbox placement tools (Litmus, GlockApps, Postmark), Experience integrating ESPs with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot, Background in SaaS, e-commerce, or professional services industries, Understanding of lifecycle marketing and behavioral email strategies

Perform light HTML/CSS edits
Maintain and organize email databases
Clean and maintain healthy email lists
Improve personalization strategies
Build and maintain drip campaigns
and behavioral automations
Test workflow logic and trigger conditions
Continuously optimize automation flows
Monitor sender reputation
and overall deliverability performance
and email authentication configurations
Ensure campaigns remain compliant with CAN-SPAM
and email marketing best practices
Troubleshoot deliverability issues
Analyze campaign performance metrics
Build dashboards and reports
and optimization strategies to leadership and stakeholders
