Individually and together, our employees are dedicated to satisfying the mission_ _of our organization which is an unwavering commitment to excellence as we care for the sick and injured; educate physicians, nurses and other health care providers; and improve access to care in the communities we serve, regardless of a patient 's ability to pay for health care._ The Electrophysiology Technologist is responsible for providing patient care pre, peri and post-invasive cardiac procedures under the direct supervision of an Electrophysiology Lab Registered Nurse. **JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Delivers professional care to patients under direct supervision of RN * Assists the physician in performing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Lab and other departments relating to electrophysiology studies * Provides accurate documentation of care provided in accordance with Hospital and Electrophysiology Lab policies and procedures * Demonstrates understanding of the actions of specific medications utilized in the Electrophysiology Lab and comprehends indications for usage * Monitors hemodynamic status of patients and responds appropriately to fluctuation of parameters * Demonstrates understanding of all equipment in the Electrophysiology Lab, including but not limited to pacemakers, implantable cardioverters/defibrillators, external defibrillators, interrogation devices, Prucka hemodynamic monitoring system, stimulator and radiofrequency generator, and Carto system * Demonstrates proficiency in maintaining hemostasis of access sites * Demonstrates proficiency in the operation of equipment utilized in the Electrophysiology Lab **PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:** Standing for up to 8 hours per day in 4-hour increments while wearing up to 20 lbs. of lead protective equipment.
