Must Have

Post-secondary diploma in Electrical/Electronic technology, minimum five years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, Skilled in power electronics hardware, testing, and troubleshooting, Solid electrical & electronic knowledge used in the analysis process, Good troubleshooting and diagnostic methodology, Good root cause analysis methodology, Very proficient assembly and surface mount soldering & de-soldering skills, Component level trouble shooting and rework, Ability to read schematics and analyze electronic circuits, Knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuits, Mechanical aptitude and an ability to read mechanical drawings, Experience with electronics test equipment and calibration requirements, Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills, Knowledge of Altium Designer software and design practices for PCBs, Very proficient with thermocouple construction and proper thermocoupling techniques, Consistently exhibit and model Delta‑Q values (Collaboration, Perseverance, Innovation, Driving Results)

What You'll Do.

and modify circuit boards

and component level testing

Consolidate data and write test reports

Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits (analog and digital) to component level

Build and design test fixtures and create supporting documentation

Create schematics from engineering drawings and design PCBs based on specifications

Conduct failure analysis

and repair of power electronic products

Perform hand soldering/de-soldering to various size PCBs

micros and cable assemblies

Conduct Hipot testing

leakage testing and ground bond testing

Safely work with AC and DC power and energy storage up 600 Vac and 1000 Vdc

Take thermal images with thermal camera

manipulate photos then upload images to spreadsheets for analysis

Weld thermocouple wire and apply them to test units for thermal measurements

and run product characterization and reliability tests with electronic test equipment in HALT and environmental test chambers

and operate water-glycol liquid cooling systems

Load software into prototypes

test-units and field-units

Procure laboratory supplies and prototype components

Support lab 5S program and perform general lab maintenance
