This posting is for an Electronics Technician I in the Traffic Services Unit in Stanly County. This position provides technical work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical and electronic equipment with emphasis on traffic control equipment and related devices for all counties within Division 10. The chosen applicant will also assist in the testing and inspection of new Traffic Control Systems and existing systems which are upgraded. The duties to be performed include locating underground utilities, clearing vegetation around various types of traffic signal facilities, installing traffic signal equipment, wiring detectors, installing and wiring controllers, tracing out electrical wiring diagrams to locate trouble, dismantling and reassembling components, replacing worn or faulty parts.
