What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5 plus years of experience with testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and installation of Fiber Optics, other Radio Control Systems (RCE) and other complex electronics equipment, Extensive experience with above and below ground electrical installations, duct banks, manholes, steel racks, towers and poles, surveying, concrete work, excavation equipment operations, and airfield systems, Familiar with construction quality and safety best practices, Able to read, interpret, and implement project drawings, specifications, and client orders and standards, Experience with the use of basic electrical and electronics test equipment, 100% travel is required throughout the United States, its territories and possessions, and anywhere federally owned and operated air traffic equipment is operated, Must pass detailed DOT background check to qualify, High school diploma required
Nice to Have
Advanced electronics training from institutions such as junior college, military service, or trade school training, College, trade school, or professional certification(s) is preferred
What You'll Do.
Perform installation of navigational aids
communications systems
and weather monitoring equipment on airfields across the United States National Air Space (NAS)
Install new or upgrade existing equipment and systems such as navigational aids
air traffic communications systems
and weather monitoring equipment
Complete projects on airports and at remote facilities in various environments
Perform electronics systems installation
Perform civil construction tasks
Perform electrical equipment installation tasks
Assist with site preparation work at ATCT
remote telecommunication sites
Enroute Centers and Terminal TRACONs
Assist with Fiber Optics Terminal System (FOTS) installation at various sites throughout the USA
Assist with electronics installations
integration and testing
Assist with electrical power conduit installation
Assist with control duct AC power racks for various FAA systems
