What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field, 2 years of relevant experience (Electronics Engineer), 0+ years with MS degree or PhD (Electronics Engineer), 5 years of relevant experience (Principal Electronics Engineer), 3 years with MS degree (Principal Electronics Engineer), 1 year with PhD (Principal Electronics Engineer), Proficiency in common engineering/office tools (including MathCad, MatLab, schematic capture, MS Office), Proficiency with electrical CAD programs such as Mentor Graphics, Experience in engineering drawing development, US citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and pass a polygraph
Nice to Have
Active Polygraph security clearance, Proficiency in Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, Xpedition, Hyperlynx, PSPICE, Saber, Xilinx Vivado, Siemens Capital or Zuken E3, Familiarity with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc), Previous design or testing experience with Comms/Sonar/Radar receivers, Familiarity with Labview and/or MATLAB programming and troubleshooting, Background in Sonar arrays, sensors, communication arrays, transducers or radar, An interest in seeing production SONARs through manufacturing and test, locally, with the possibility of travel to field - sites for final sell-off testing

determine hardware requirements
define/maintain power
perform trade studies on hardware
select developmental & operational hardware
document firmware & hardware (schematics & fabrication drawings for custom circuit cards
drawer/rack/system wiring & cabling)
develop engineering test requirements and unit/subsystem/system test
perform hardware test & system integration
