Must Have
Experience in digital electronic systems design, including component selection, schematic entry and layout of PCBs, Understanding of board design principles with devices such as switch-mode power supplies, FPGAs and embedded processors, Understanding of multi-layer PCB layout techniques (e. g. microvias and length matching), Experience in PCB debug and test, Experience in integration of hardware with software and firmware
Nice to Have
Software programming experience (e. g. C / Python), FPGA programming experience (e. g. VHDL)
What You'll Do.
Designing and testing sophisticated electronic circuit boards and other key hardware components for cyber-security products
Requirements gathering and research in order to select appropriate components
PCB design and layout using Altium Designer
mechanical and system-level design data using product life-cycle management tools
Using lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters to test new hardware and debug issues
Co-ordinating with product design engineers to package electronics within a chassis
Evaluating the product’s performance under different thermal and vibrational conditions
Aiding in the compliance and certification of new hardware
Working with production engineers to ensure a smooth transition to high volume manufacturing
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Reporting to the hardware team, part of the Hardware based Security (HardSec) product group; Co-ordinating with product design engineers; Working with production engineers
Process & Methodology
Management of PCB, mechanical and system-level design data using product life-cycle management tools
