Full Job Description
You are part of Robin's engineering department, where you work on our flagship radars. Your strengths lie in root cause analysis in a structured manner, in order to further develop our radars and the way we work. As the electromechanical backbone of the engineering team, your technical insight will have a wide impact. The positive influence of your designs, supplier choices, and problem-solving will reach far beyond engineering, directly supporting fellow Robins in Service & Support, Production, and Product Management. RESPONSIBILITIES - Evaluate, specify, and select optimal connectors, wires, and cabling components to meet strict system requirements. - Create, review, and maintain detailed electrical and cabling drawings, schematics, and diagrams using industry-standard design tools. - Apply expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) components, electrical motors, and slip rings to integrate complex subsystems seamlessly. - Act as the primary technical point of contact for external suppliers and development partners, ensuring deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budget standards. - Work closely with internal engineering teams to translate high-level system requirements into actionable electrical designs. REQUIREMENTS - You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical engineering environment; - You have a Masters degree or higher in the field of engineering, mechanics or electronics; - You work in a structured manner with eye for details; - You communicate clearly and have the capacity to substantiate your choices; - Fluency in English, Dutch is considered a plus; - You live in The Netherlands at commuting distance to The Hague.
