# **Job Description** Job Description Provide technical support to improve and optimize manufacturing operations and processes at the Des Moines manufacturing site. Coordinate repairs equipment installations involved with reducing downtime, improving safety and implementing projects assigned. **WHAT YOU GET TO DO** * Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. * Determines customers’/plants needs by identifying problems, developing and evaluating solutions thereby defining project scope. * Must research and produce cost estimates necessary to accomplish scheduled and emergency repairs as well as provide replacement equipment utilizing vendors and internal resources to impact a timely recovery with limited downtime. * Initiates equipment modification to increase machine productivity and reduce waste. The machinery is flexible packaging converting equipment, which includes but not limited to: Blownfilm, Extrusion Coaters and Rewinders, Facilities, HVAC and Production Support Equipment. * Trouble manufacturing operations Electrical, Mechanical and Process issues utilizing all available resources for rapid recovery. * Trains operators for proper operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of new, existing or modified equipment including the development of new or revised standard work, updated PM schedules, and training programs to support necessary changes. * Develops, prepares and/or assembles the engineering package for each assigned project. This includes designs, calculations, layouts, schematics, manuals, etc. * Provides purchasing services for project materials. This includes reviewing potential vendors contacts with vendors, issuing purchasing orders, price negotiations and expediting delivery. * Responsible for improving manufacturing safety, productivity, efficiency, quality and reducing waste of manufacturing operations of which will have a direct effect on profitability. **WHAT WE VALUE** * Strong knowledge/experience in troubleshoot
