This position supports projects throughout British Columbia and will require travel within the province., This position is designated as safety-sensitive making employment contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, as well as criminal and general background checks., Ability and willingness to work out of town, Able to travel including travelling to remote sites., Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree in Construction Management or a related field, or a Journeyperson Electrician designation, Valid class 5 driver’s license or equivalent with an acceptable driving record, 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry, Thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) with BC Amendments, Technical Safety BC requirements, and WorkSafeBC occupational health and safety regulations as they relate to electrical and utility work, Working knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality management, and interpretation of engineering drawings, Ability and willingness to work out of town, Able to travel including travelling to remote sites., Able to work in adverse weather conditions., Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work within strict deadlines., Must show that you can work in a safe manner with respect to the environment, health and safety issues in the workplace.
Nice to Have
Experience in BC Hydro or utility-related work, PSSP/WPP, CAT5, or equivalent utility safety training, High-voltage experience
What You'll Do.
Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities
and support site crews
Ensure daily completion and submission of crew timesheets
Act as the primary liaison between the company
client representatives
and on-site personnel
Promote a safety culture by leading by example
Document and report all incidents and injuries
Collaborate with the Project Manager to meet construction timelines
Monitor and maintain quality of workmanship
and motivate crew members
Coordinate with the Project Manager and client to review
and resolve RFIs and COs
Support internal and external audits
and compliance activities
Ensure all electrical work complies with Technical Safety BC requirements

This role leads site crews to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
