Nice to Have
PLC / controls exposure preferred (troubleshooting & diagnostics only), Pump station or water/wastewater experience a plus

Job Opportunity: Electrical Service Technician (Controls Focus) – Municipal Pump Systems with Allied Technical Services in Cincinnati, OH Looking for a field‑based electrical role with variety, independence, and real ownership over your work, without being stuck in a factory or production environment? Allied Technical Services supports municipal pump stations and water/wastewater systems, and we’re expanding our electrical and controls services. This role is ideal for an electrician or electrical technician who enjoys hands‑on troubleshooting, working independently in the field, and supporting critical infrastructure that communities rely on every day. This position is part of a growing service team and offers the opportunity to help shape how the role evolves over time. Pay & Benefits: Competitive Pay + OT, service call pay & prevailing wage work. What You’ll Do: Troubleshoot and repair municipal pump station electrical and control systems Work with control panels, motor controls, and field wiring Read schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose electrical issues Support VFDs, starters, relays, and control components Assist with basic PLC and SCADA troubleshooting (monitoring, diagnostics, resets — not programming) Wire and support temporary pumps, generators, and control panels Respond to service calls and help restore systems safely and efficiently Work independently in outdoor, municipal, and service environments What We’re Looking For: Electrical troubleshooting experience in field, service, municipal, or industrial environments Experience working with control panels and electrical control circuits Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams Comfortable working independently in the field PLC / controls exposure preferred (troubleshooting & diagnostics only) Pump station or water/wastewater experience a plus,
