May need to float between campuses, Teach day classes with the need to teach night classes during the summer, 40 hour per week placement, Regularly required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or reach with hands and and talk or hear, Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, taste and smell, Occasionally required to walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, Occasionally required to perform job responsibilities in the outdoors and off site
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Associate Degree in Electrical Line Worker Technology or closely related program of study, five (5) years of teaching/work experience
Nice to Have
Journeyman Line Workers are also strongly encouraged to apply
What You'll Do.
Teach students occupational competencies
Prepare course competency based outlines
Prepare detailed lesson plans
Recommend changes in curriculum
Develop and maintain student progress
Teach related subject matter
Develop schedule of courses
Review and select instructional materials
Complete requests for supplies
Complete enrollment and follow up reports
Assist in budget development
Maintain clean and safe laboratory/shop
Recommend new/replacement equipment
Maintain inventory of equipment and tools
Keep equipment functioning
Maintain active advisory committee
Maintain good industry relationship
and register students
Complete program effectiveness reporting
Help students find employment
Fulfill technical certification requirements
Serve on various committees
Attend faculty meetings
Issue course syllabus or policy letter
Keep classes in session
Set aside time for student conferences
Follow institutional process for attendance
Participate in evaluations
Meet reporting requirements
Develop personal and professional improvement plan
Participate in departmental meetings
Cooperate in execution of policies
Participate in staff development activities
Use teaching techniques
Present professional appearance
Maintain current credentials and certifications
Perform other duties as assigned
