# **Primary Location** NSW - Portland # **Job Description Summary** An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical / Instrumentation Technician to join Service Stream in our Utilities Sector based in Portland NSW # **About the Role** We are now seeking an experienced Electrical / Instrumentation Technician to work as part of a collaborative team. **Nature of position:** Permanent, full-time (casual can be offered if preferred) **Location:** Portland, NSW **Reporting Line:** Regional Manager This role will support the Electrical maintenance and repair team at our Mt Piper Power Station site. Overtime is as required however these positions are predominately Monday to Friday. This is role will provide effective maintenance execution to achieve a safe and highly reliable plant, with minimum down time and efficient use of resources. * Dual trade qualification as an A grade electrician and Instrumentation Technician preferred but not essential * Instrumentation calibration experience will be considered favourably if Instrumentation Certificate isn’t part of your qualifications. The successful applicant may be offered further training * Relevant plant electrical, instrument and control experience in heavy industry, preferably with hands on experience in protection systems and process control * Exposure to wide range of pressure, level, temperature and flow instrumentation * Exposure to distributed control, PLC systems * Current AS3000 design and verification requirements at trade level * Knowledge of AC and DC Motor control systems * High level communication skills both written and verbal * Commitment and good attitude to safety and workplace culture * Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge and expertise * Communication cabling/Fibre optic tickets/ experience will also be considered favourably **About Us** : Service Stream, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading national service provider to develop and operate Australia's esse
