What They're Looking For.
Must Have
A Licensed Electrical Practitioner (electrician), Relevant electrical trade qualifications, Current electrical licence, Minimum 5 year post electrical trade working in the general electrical contracting industry, Sound knowledge in the application and interpretation of relevant Australian Standards, particularly AS/NZS 3000 "The Wiring Rules", Knowledgeable in all relevant Tasmanian electrical safety legislation, Able to work independently and also as a part of a productive team, Physically able to inspect all required parts of an electrical installation, Physically able to work at height, Meet all the requirements of the Department of Justice to be appointed as an Authorised Officer under the Electricity Industry Safety and Administration Act and the Occupational Licensing Act, A current, unrestricted car driver’s license
Nice to Have
Proven experience in electrical inspection within residential, utilities, infrastructure, or construction environments
What You'll Do.
Conducting inspections of electrical infrastructure and installations
Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards
Acts and Regulatory requirements
Identifying defects and non-conformance
Providing guidance for standards application
Investigating Electrical Shock and Fires incidents
Preparing detailed inspection reports
Maintaining accurate documentation
Supporting quality assurance initiatives
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Promoting and maintaining a safety culture
How You'll Work.
