Are you ready to join us? **Position Description – Electrical Engineering Technician** **Position Summary** As an **Electrical Engineering Technician** in our medical technology manufacturing environment, you will help ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of the **production and test equipment** used to manufacture **ophthalmic diagnostic devices** , including **optical coherence tomography (OCT)** imaging systems. You will apply hands-on electrical and electronic technical skills to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and improve manufacturing equipment to minimise downtime and support consistent product quality. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment to maximise uptime and throughput. * Troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults in production machinery, test fixtures, sensors, actuators, and control systems; identify root cause and implement corrective actions. * Support installation, commissioning, and requalification of new or upgraded equipment, including wiring, functional checks, and handover to production. * Calibrate and verify measurement equipment and production test rigs/fixtures to ensure operation within required specifications and traceability requirements. * Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and technical manuals. * Assist with equipment improvements to enhance reliability, safety, and maintainability (e.g., control panels, PLC I/O, interlocks, E-stop circuits, preventative maintenance optimisation).
