What They're Looking For.

Must Have

ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Engineering Technology, 5 years of experience, Relevant AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) firm experience, Professional Engineer registration in good standing

Nice to Have

Relevant design firm experience, Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Intermediate knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments, Intermediate experience with performing engineering calculations, and developing and implementing electrical lighting, power and special systems design, Intermediate experience with using and applying electrical codes and standards (NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, and/or IEEE), Basic experience with using and applying applicable building codes, Proficient with intermediate internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination, Proficient with intermediate coordination with construction trade partners, vendors and manufacturers, Proficient at intermediate electrical lighting, power and special systems design calculations with limited supervision, Intermediate experience conducting and leading field surveys of existing conditions and providing support of field reporting, Basic experience with troubleshooting issues with electrical equipment and systems

What You'll Do.

Design and engineering of power

and other electrical control and building support systems

Overseeing the Electrical discipline scope of work

Managing the discipline budget on small to medium projects of intermediate complexity

Coordinating with internal and external architects and engineers

construction managers

vendors and manufacturers

Developing power load

short circuit and voltage drop basis of design code one-line plans

Developing installation specifications

Coordinating with manufacturers and construction trade partners

Utilizing software for building information modeling

computer-aided drafting and engineering calculations

Directing design activities for studies

conceptual and schematic design

construction documentation and construction administration

Designs electrical systems of intermediate complexity in conformance with code requirements and in coordination with other design disciplines

reports and construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications on small projects of intermediate complexity and with little oversight

Supports construction activities such as RFI responses

punch list development and construction progress reports

Plans and directs work and manages a project electrical design budget on small to medium sized projects of intermediate complexity

Supports proposal development under the supervision of a Lead or Senior Engineer

Identifies basic non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys

Develops basic internal electrical design and engineering training presentations

Leads quality check efforts for small projects of intermediate complexity and drives overall project quality

Provides mentorship to less experienced Electrical Engineers and/or Designers

Leads systems design programming and master planning on intermediate projects with support from Design Lead or Senior Engineer

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Works closely with other architects, engineers and designers, as well as other internal and external team members to ensure a coordinated, constructible and complete design; Coordinates with construction trade partners, vendors and manufacturers; Intermediate internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination
