Must Have

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline, 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, medium or high voltage power systems

Nice to Have

5+ years of professional experience with the design or build of commercial or industrial power systems, Primary experience with electrical and power distribution systems (<600Vac), Working knowledge of delta/wye transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, building lighting, building construction specifications, and facility grounding, Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches, Experience creating and implementing process/design solutions with minimal impact to business operations, Able to quickly assess an issue and assist technicians with troubleshooting and repair, Ability to work in a high-concentration, high-stress environment, under possible extended work hours and tight deadlines, Acute attention to detail, ability to see interactions with other systems to avoid problems, AutoCAD/Revit – Beginner to intermediate skill level, Familiarity with National Electric Code, National Fire Protection Association, and International Building Code, Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment, understanding of construction project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and contractor management

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, FACILITIES (STARLINK) SpaceX is leveraging our experience building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s largest satellite constellation and most advanced broadband internet system. We provide reliable and fast internet to millions of users worldwide, including populations with little or no connectivity, rural communities, aircraft, watercraft, and places where existing services are unreliable, too expensive, or disconnected by natural disasters. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system, thousands of satellites and consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing. The Starlink team is seeking out the best-in-class professionals to maximize Starlink’s potential for communities and businesses around the globe. As an Electrical Engineer at our Starlink Production facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and efficiency of our electrical distribution systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, evaluating, and improving various electrical systems site-wide, including substation, switchgear, power distribution, lighting, UPS, Motor Control Centers, VFDs, and generators. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support sustainability goals, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, you will be tasked with designing upgrades and overseeing the installation of new assembly lines and processes, with the goal of creating a world-class facility that can support the mission of connecting people across the globe and enabling life beyond Earth.
