Full Job Description
Our goal is to be Earth's most customer centric company, and we are just getting started. We need people who want to join an ambitious program that continues to push the state of the art in space-based systems design. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for the next member of our avionics development team who are building critical components for Project Kuiper satellites. We are looking for an exceptional engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to deliver hardware. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities • Perform circuit design and analysis for satellite power and avionics subsystems. • Perform ECAD schematic capture of circuit designs. • Lead design reviews of hardware systems; such as architecture, schematic, PCB layout reviews. • Develop bring-up test plans, as well as leading qualification and production test plan development. • Lead debug efforts for avionics and power subsystems. • Lead requirement derivation and traceability for hardware subsystems. • Support subsystem production ramp and larger system integration. • Be a technical leader/role model; instilling best practices across the full development lifecycle. A day in the life As an Electrical Engineer, you will be a member of the avionics and power hardware team, focusing on the design and test for the various sensing and control needs (power delivery, propulsion, attitude control, etc.) of the satellite. You will be expected to lead a variety of tasks, from component selection and board design, to layout review, board bring-
