What They're Looking For.

Must Have

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent, 4+ years of hands-on experience on production hardware products, demonstrated end-to-end ownership through bring-up and validation, Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium or equivalent, Solid experience with microprocessors, sensor integration, motor control, embedded systems, Comfort working with AC power systems, understanding of relevant safety considerations, Able to independently bring up and debug new bench, proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, thermal imaging, data acquisition, hands-on with PCB rework, cable assembly, able to operate in ambiguous problem spaces, synthesize requirements, drive closure with limited oversight

Nice to Have

Scripting proficiency in Python, embedded C/C++ for test automation, data analysis, prototype firmware, High-power appliance development, commercial equipment development, industrial product development, Safety certification experience (UL, ETL, FCC, CE, IC), pre-compliance testing, EMI debug, cert lab management, Thermal system design, component derating, temperature sensing and control, PCB layout for heat dissipation, heatsink selection, Designing interlock and safety architectures, Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, RS-485, CAN), Experience with Jetson, Raspberry Pi CM, other embedded compute platforms, integrated into hardware systems, Startup experience
