Electrical engineering focuses on the design and engineering of power, lighting, grounding/bonding, and special systems, e.g., data, security, fire alarm, raceway, cable tray and other electrical control and building support systems into the built work environment. Typical tasks and deliverables include power load, illumination, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations; basis of design reports, code evaluations; single line diagrams; plans; schedules; installation details; specifications; and coordination with manufacturers and construction trade partners. Tasks will include utilizing computer aided drafting and engineering software. ## Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering * 0 to 3 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting * Experience using Revit * Fundamentals of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred Additional Qualifications * Fundamental experience with performing engineering calculations, and developing and implementing electrical lighting, power, and special systems designs * Ability to interface with client and external partners * Ability to travel as for client development and project execution * Fundamental experience conducting field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reporting * Proficient at fundamental electrical design calculations under the supervision of an engineer Responsibilities * The Electrical Engineer I
