What They're Looking For.
Must Have
University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with PEO or eligible to be registered, 7 year's experience in the design, construction and commissioning of industrial and commercial electrical systems within a major capital project/program, Thorough working knowledge of airfield lighting, system safety electrical design/construction; operations and maintenance, Understanding of stakeholder / regulatory requirements including but not limited to ICAO, Transport Canada Aerodrome Standards, airport operations (includes tenants, airlines, and travelers), HRDC (Fire Commissioner of Canada), Underwriters Laboratories (ULC), Code Consultants, and Health & Safety Consultants, Knowledge of ISO 55001 Asset Management standard
Nice to Have
Aviation experience is considered an asset
What You'll Do.
Provide advice and guidance on electrical systems
Ensure electrical systems comply with requirements
Conduct FAP compliance reviews
Provide non-resident engineering expertise
Support governance and process documentation
Assess alternative technical proposals
Coordinate technical elements of the program
Coordinate interface between disciplines
Review deliverables for compliance
Monitor designer input during construction
Provide progress reports to management
Coach and mentor airport staff
