What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years of hands-on electrical commissioning or field technician experience in data centers, power plants, or large industrial facilities, working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V (medium voltage experience preferred), including switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, and protective relaying, Experience with commissioning test equipment (meggers, multimeters, relay test sets, power quality analyzers, etc.), Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NETA), Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams, safety mindset with current OSHA 10/30 or equivalent training, Willingness to work extended hours, nights, and weekends during critical commissioning windows
Nice to Have
Prior commissioning experience on hyperscale data center projects or mission-critical facilities, NETA certification (Level II or higher) or equivalent (e. g. , NICET, Journeyman Electrician license), Experience with data center power infrastructure including redundant UPS, generators, and busway systems, Knowledge of PLC/controls troubleshooting and SCADA systems, Proficiency with commissioning management software (e. g. , CxPro, Procore, or similar), Technical degree or trade school certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field

and quality standards during all commissioning activities
Maintain accurate as-built documentation
and commissioning reports
Support training of operations and maintenance teams on commissioned electrical systems
Participate in constructability reviews and provide field feedback to improve design and installation quality

You will work closely with construction, engineering, and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality electrical systems from initial installation through full system turnover. This is a full-time, onsite role with significant travel to xAI data center sites.
