Must Have
U. S. Person (U. S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status), HS diploma (or equivalent, e. g. G. E. D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with less than 2 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
Experience with electronics manufacturing processes (specifically soldering, torque tools, and adhesive application), Optical component assembly (fiber optics and lenses), Demonstrated ability to follow work instructions, Must successfully pass Collins Aerospace training program which will occur in the first month of the job, Experience working in a production environment
What You'll Do.
Performs a variety of repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on component parts
sub-assemblies or completed units used in Commercial and/or Military aerospace applications.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions
blueprint specifications
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit
fastening parts and subassemblies.
Maintains accurate daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory anticipating needed placing and expediting orders for verifying receipt of supplies.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
