What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Must be registered as an Apprentice Electrician with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) and actively enrolled in an approved trade school program., A minimum of 500 hours of electrical experience is required.
Nice to Have
Previous work experience in an industrial, commercial or manufacturing environment is preferred., Working knowledge of electrical tools, materials and equipment used in manufacturing environments is an asset., Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.
What You'll Do.
Support installation of electrical systems
Support termination of electrical systems
Support assembly of electrical systems
Assist with construction of control panels
Assist with fabrication of control panels
Perform rough-in wiring
Perform finishing wiring
Assist with wiring verification
Assist with checkout activities
Install electrical system components
Install electrical system wiring
Assist with troubleshooting electrical control circuits
Assist with repair of electrical control circuits
Assist with maintenance of electrical control circuits
Support material take-offs preparation
Support identification of required electrical equipment
Support identification of required electrical components
Assist with lockout/tagout procedures
Assist with electrical isolation procedures
Support review of facility electrical system plans
Support review of facility electrical system specifications
Identify opportunities for improvements
Perform routine cleaning
Perform basic maintenance activities
Maintain maintenance reports
Maintain documentation
Monitor electrical parts usage
Monitor electrical materials usage
Report material issues
Assist in preparing maintenance schedules
Support quality control checks
Support inspection readiness
Ensure work meets drawings
Ensure work meets specifications
