BS Degree in an EHS field or at least 8-10 years relevant experience, At least 5 years of experience overseeing air permitting, In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations in Washington State and the Bay Area (California), including air permitting (BAAD, Ecology), industrial wastewater, stormwater and hazardous waste management

Who You Are The Temporary EHS&S Engineer (Environmental Focus) will be a key member of the Sila team, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and foster a strong environmental stewardship culture at our Moses Lake, WA and Alameda, CA sites. This engagement is expected to be a 9-12 month contract. Responsibilities and Duties Manage air permitting activities with assistance by consultants, including communications, applications, modifications,compliance and audits for the Department of Ecology (Washington) and Bay Area Air District (California). Manage industrial wastewater compliance for Department of Ecology (Washington) and East Bay Municipal Utility District (California). Manage stormwater compliance for Department of Ecology (Washington) and State Water Resources Control Board (California). Manage hazardous waste programs, including vendor support, waste characterization, storage, disposal, auditing, and record-keeping. Reporting: prepare annual CERS submission, prepare waste reports, collect air permit required data and information for annual submission to BAAQMD & Department of Ecology.
