Must Have

Degree or Diploma in Health & Safety and/or Environmental Studies or Ergonomic related field or equivalent work experience, Three (3) to five (5) years experience in the above disciplines in the automotive or related manufacturing industry, Proficient computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project, Ability to create spreadsheets, and enter into, and understand, complex spreadsheets and advanced Excel functions, Must be detail oriented and particularly attentive to producing accurate work, Understanding of plant operations and process flow as related to Health, Safety, Ergonomic and Environmental requirements, Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and with a variable workload, organizational, planning, written, and verbal communication skills, Demonstrate a maturity of judgement, leadership skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational, listening, communication and presentation skills in all aspects of the job function, Excellent math skills with the ability to apply to cost and analyze data, Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment in order to meet customer requirements, Must be able to interact effectively with other team members, Able to appreciate and maintain proper level of confidentiality, using discretion and tact

Resolve issues and communicate employee concerns

Act as a resource/consultant to leaders

Manages industrial environment aspects

Works with contractors to ensure compliance

Maintains environmental management system

Manages health and safety/environmental legislative compliance

Manages and administers professional services

Calculates and reports sample findings

Participates and collaborates in audits

Assists in coordinating training

Champions and mentors Joint Health

Ergonomic & Environmental

Assists with development and maintenance of policies/procedures

Participates in investigation of accidents/incidents

Oversees administration of workers’ compensation program

ergonomic and environmental statistics

Promotes/recommends continuous improvement suggestions

Coordinates selection of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Assists implementation of 5S practices

Complies with operational procedures/policies

Complies with Quality and Environmental programs

Complies with Health and Safety programs
