What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in industrial safety or a related field (or equivalent experience), Minimum of 3 years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, working knowledge of OSHA and other federal, state, and local safety regulations, Proven ability to communicate and train across diverse employee groups, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Nice to Have
Experience with ergonomic programs and ergonomic analysis tools
What You'll Do.
Proactively inspect the facility to identify
and environmental risks.
Serve as the site subject-matter expert on EHS regulations
compliance requirements
and related insurance standards.
Ensure full compliance with federal
and local regulations
while aligning with corporate EHS guidelines.
Design and lead safety initiatives
and communications that drive engagement
and injury reduction.
Partner with leaders and employees to embed safety into daily operations and decision-making.
Lead or actively participate in key programs including the Safety Committee
Emergency Response Team (ERT)
General Workplace Inspections (GWI)
and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Manage the Incident Investigation Report (IIR) process
including near misses
and lead root cause analysis with department leaders.
Develop and track EHS metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Audit and maintain the Safety Management System in alignment with corporate standards.
Oversee environmental programs in partnership with consultants
and facilities teams—while driving sustainability improvements.
Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current
and readily accessible.
Manage site security systems and related practices.
